It’s coming folks and we are almost ready. May 21 is the day, and Fort York is the place. We are looking forward to another great year of music from around the globe, great guest artists, workshops etc. Watch this space!
Meanwhile, our practice sessions are set and the first one is just around the corner.
Feb. 11, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Long&McQuade’s clinic space, 935 Bloor St. West. Please bring your own music stand.
We’re working hard to get the music and mp3s ready. We expect the first chunk of Irish and Canadian tunes to be up on the site by Saturday morning, Feb. 6, so please check back then for music. We will have it at the first practice session as well. Complete books and on request CDS will be available to all who become members of World Fiddle Day Toronto by our 3rd practice session, March 10. Support great community music-making!

We hope to see as many of you as possible next Thursday, all ages welcome, all levels of ability, all bowed string instruments. As always, there will be rhythm parts, and lots of good playing tips for many styles of folk and world music. We’ll be starting with Irish and Canadian tunes (see Tunes 2016).
