HI Folks: We had a stunning concert Friday night and an absolutely wonderful day on Saturday. Shane and Elizabeth taught us two new tunes which we will definitely add to the Jam next year (if there is a next year), and now we need YOUR FEEDBACK. Tell us anything, publicly here (click the bubble), or privately at : worldfiddledaytoronto@gmail.com.
We would love to know what you thought about the artists, the venue, the workshops (either L&M or on the Day), the Jam repertoire or how it was run, the communication you got from us, what you would like to see in future. (We understand some of you would have liked to get a beer. That would be possible but it means paying another staff person for the day, an added expense). It is all be enormously helpful for us in deciding whether, or in what form, to continue.
World Fiddle Day Toronto thanks you all for your wonderful support. We do it for you.
Dear Anne and Marion, Thank you for putting the event together for us who sat back and enjoyed it. WFD at Hugh’s Room was full of positive ‘vibes’ – it’s smaller scale felt like it brought back the community spirit. No suggestions to change the repertoire although I do think a few community practises, which I’d be willing to pay admission for, would be beneficial.
While I missed the workshops only because of prior commitments, the concert from two sides of the Atlantic was absolutely wonderful – loved the music, the chance to dance, and sharing the social time over food and beer with so many kindred spirits.
Thank you again for all you’ve done to keep us grooving! Sue

Hello Anne and Marion also, Thank you for another amazing Fiddle Day. We appreciate your hard work behind the scenes, organizing and finding entertainers, teachers and places. The workshops are always the most enjoyable and beneficial for everyone. My special thanks to all of you and especially to Marion who makes Simone feel so welcome every year. She loves all of it. The workshops at L&M were so good but the weather and Mother;s Day were a factor this year. We liked the Hugh’s room venue better but wished there was a better audience to hear that AMAZING jam session. It seems that Fort York is not available anymore. Simone is hoping to join Leah’s group playing next Fall/ So please keep up the good work and we hope that we can join you again next year….. Simone and her grandmother Diana McStay >

Thanks so much Simone and DIana. Fort York was not available this year, but might be in future, as might be the Aga KHan. I’m glad you like the session. .
